Solar Rakyat Sabah supports rooftop solar for eligible domestic consumers. Start by checking the requirements for your property and connection.
What the programme does
Your home uses the solar electricity it generates. Eligible surplus can be exported and credited against your electricity bill. Credits are not cash payments.
Who it is for
The programme is for qualifying domestic consumers at private residential premises. Previous participation in solar programmes can affect eligibility.
Connection limits
The stated limits are 5 kWac for single-phase and 10 kWac for three-phase connections. Panels must be on a rooftop or porch at the same premises.
The kWac limit refers to AC capacity. It should not be confused with a panel array’s kWp rating.
How to get started
- Discuss your property and electricity use with us.
- Confirm current eligibility, quota and site suitability.
- Review a system proposal and application requirements.
- Proceed through the required approvals, installation and commissioning.
Applications are managed through an ECoS-registered contractor using EEISy. The programme has a quota and an application window, so availability must be checked before committing.
