Solar generation supplies your own premises. Under this programme, surplus electricity is not exported to the grid.
Why your usage pattern matters
The timing of your energy demand affects how much solar electricity you can use. For a business, operating hours and daytime loads are a useful starting point. For a home, appliance use throughout the day matters.
Considering battery storage
The programme allows battery energy storage integration. Storage can help match generation to later demand, but system sizing and the permitted arrangement require a site-specific assessment.
A battery proposal should explain usable capacity, intended loads and whether it includes a suitable backup configuration.
